About On-Demand Webinars
Each On-Demand webinar program offers 2 tracks – Elective or Self-Assessment. Both offer the same material and include a downloadable PDF of the webinar for reference and note-taking, although each provides for a different amount of learning units. The Self-Assessment track provides for more Learning Units due to the additional time accounted for in the Self-Assessment quiz to meet the AIA CES HSW program requirements. Either track can be used for CASp renewal and for CA architect license renewal - be aware that other state or organization requirements may have a different criteria for calculating the number of learning hours. Each on-demand webinar also has closed captioning that can be turned on and off.
Elective
Each Elective webinar will have the actual amount of time listed. This can be used for other continuing education requirements, and the attendee would self-report as an independent study as required per other organizations. The amount of time that someone has to review the material, once paid for, is 2 weeks. During that time the material can be re-reviewed as often as desired.
Self-Assessment
This track includes a Summative Assessment quiz comprised of multiple choice questions and is an approved AIA CES program of continuing education for Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW). Additional time is awarded per AIA’s formula for completing the Summative Assessment. This requires a cumulative passing grade of 70% minimum for the successful completion of the webinar before a Certificate of Completion is provided. For AIA members, once the Summative Assessment quiz is completed, STA will report the LU | HSW within 10 business days. The attendee will need to self-report for CASp and architecture license renewal. The amount of time that someone has to review the material and achieve the minimum 70% Assessment is 30 days after payment. During that time the material can be re-reviewed as desired.
